A CNJ survivor and Scranton landmark - built in 1891 at the top of a switchback, this freight house served as the Western most terminus for the railroad originating in Jersey City. An equally impressive passenger station once stood nearby. A unique view of the west facing facade. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 and I believe it is privately owned. There was talk of putting a restaurant inside back in 2006, but it has otherwise sat unused, but well cared for.
