A pair of Whitcomb 70-ton diesels, numbers 75 and 73, sit in the Warren & Saline River Railroad Company’s facility in Warren. The WSR is a shortline that operates 19.42 miles from a connection with the Missouri Pacific in Warren, hauling primarily lumber and forest products. These two Whitcomb engines were built in April 1948. (Warren, Arkansas – June 1, 1983)
