Former Hawaii Railway Company Baldwin Locomotive Works 2-4-2 #5 passes an antique New Holland Rock Crusher exhibit at the annual Connecticut Antique Machinery Association Fall Festival on September 26th, 2021.

Number 5 was built for the Hawaii Railway Company in 1925 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an oil burning, 2-4-2 narrow gauge steam locomotive. It served the company until 1945 when World War II ended and the line it served was taken out of service. The locomotive sat unused for about 15 years, then was purchased by a mechanical engineer from Stanford University who shipped it to California for restoration and storage. After being fully restored, the locomotive passed through many hands and finally ended up at the Connecticut Antique Machinery Association in 2000. It now operates on a 485 meter long section of track within the association's grounds in Kent, CT twice a year annually.
