P78 heads northbound toward Hayne Yard in Spartanburg, passing the new control point "RPM" that was installed to extend the space available for switching the SC Inland Port and allow faster turnouts onto the BMW lead. RPM complements the theme of the other control points of the BMW wye: Bavarian, Motor, and Works. As part of the project, the main line switch at Bavarian was removed, leaving only a diverging switch from the Port Lead to the BMW lead.
