The SAL era signals still protect this interlocking where the CofG's Chattanooga,TN - Macon,GA line crossed the SAL Birmingham,AL - Atlanta,GA line. This section of the SAL only sees CSX local A700 a few times a week and the CofG only sees a local and occasional coal trains.
