With Covid making the rounds among the crews at VRS, customer service requirements dictated sending a Bellows Falls-based crew to run west to Rutland and back with freight. This would be the first XR-1 (Extra Rutland) job in decades and ran west with a single GP38-2 and 21 cars, while returning with the VTR 432, 210 and 202, as seen passing the Chester Depot at sunset.
