Metrolink train 600, the first southbound train out of Los Angeles heading south to Orange County and Oceanside, rounds the last curve before arriving at the station in Orange on 2/22/22. This location is CP Maple, where Metrolink’s Orange Sub has a junction with their Olive Sub. Both lines were constructed by Santa Fe subsidiaries, and what is now the Olive Sub was the original mainline to San Diego. The later line from Orange to Fullerton and Los Angeles is now the primary route, and F125 907 is rounding a curve that is one line of a wye, although the third leg has essentially been out of service for a long time.
