| NS Nº 3293 sit's quietly on the Boyce branch at the Amnicola Industrial Park. The lone SD40-2 was assigned to the NS AC50-04 the 3rd shift local job that served the customer on the Boyce branch that goes along the Tennessee River. The locomotive will remain here til Monday afternoon when the crew of AC29 goes on duty and take the motor to the BASF spur just north of this location and work the industries til AC50 goes on duty that night and hand AC29 cars, and pick of their cars for that day. It's hard to believe that almost a decade ago a pair of "Buttheads" MP15DC use to be the Branch Marshall for the Amnicola Industrial Park, it was a different time, and era on Norfolk Southern. |
