| I have made a few trips across the causeway between Sabula and Savanna back in the IMRL/IC&E days. I always thought "there got to be some cool shots out here," but never had opportunity to get some height or access. Well today I was finally around for some CP action and flew the drone as this 650 ethanol train swings off the Mississippi River Bridge. The train is about to CTC West Savanna, as the train works towards Chicago. The train is setup in a 1x1 DP. I like to know how much fill the Milwaukee Road put in to get them from Savanna to Samoa, cause it was no small task. The town of Sabula sits on its own causeway too. . |
