Remarks & Notes |
In a time interval of only 10 minutes, both newly designed locomotives for the anniversary 175 years of Swiss Railways could be photographed in Les Tuileries, shortly before Genève. Re 420 # 251 (Re 4/4 II # 11251) pulls the letter mail train 50012 from Zürich Mülligen via Härkingen and Eclépens sort centres to Geneva. This side of the locomotive shows the "Crocodile" Ce 6/8 II # 14270 when it was still standing on the monument base in Erstfeld. Now it is on display in Zurich Oerlikon. On the right is an old photo from SBB Historic showing the loading of milk cans. The design of the locomotive was made by austrian artist Gudrun Geiblinger. |
