| Diesellocomotive Am 847 # 905 of the Widmer Rail Services AG (WRS) is pulling the empty gasolin train 59672 from Vernier-Meyrin Cargo (near Geneva) to Renens, between Céligny and Crans VD. The 20 Zacns cars of the GATX are pretty new. The locomotive was built in 1976 by LEW Hennigsdorf for the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) as V 100 # 863. In 1988 rebuilt with two threeaxle bogies for 1 meter gauge and used in the Harz. 1993 to 1998 owned by the HSB (Harzer Schmalspurbahnen), then sold to AdTranz and built back with 4 axles and standard gauge, now with 1050 kW. After several owners, the WRS bought the locomotive in 2011 and swiss train protection systems were installed. |
