| In somewhat odd circumstances today....the Iowa Northern helped out the CIC to plow open their Amana Line so the IAIS could get service back between Cedar Rapids and South Amana. With stories of drifts as high as the engines, the Iowa Interstate had not run to Cedar Rapids for 2 days. The CIC needed a away to punch a hole thru it, so the IANR brought down their Jordan today to do the job. Unfortunately by the time they got going south out of Fairfax it was sunset and this was the only shot I got in the gleaming light. I didn't stick around to see how high the snow really was either. Here the job is winging small drifts couple miles south of Fairfax. |
