CN came up with an old odd ball leader for an empty Alden, IA, bound grain empty. The CN 5317 stood proud today leading a couple NS units on a nice sunny Saturday. It is amazing how well she looks in North America paint after all these years! Here the train passes over Catfish Creek outside of Dubuque. With fresh crew onboard, the train will now travel 144 miles to destination in central Iowa for loading. Too bad CN could of put 2 more CN with this girl, would of been a really sweet chase. Been along time since a SD40 lead a thru train in Iowa!
