Meltdown at Barstow. The meltdown that is the BNSF Railway right now was more than evident at Barstow on June 25, as seen here from the Yucca Ave. overpass. From left to right: 1) an eastbound manifest trying to depart the yard, 2) what I presumed was a westbound manifest getting broken apart in the yard, 3) the BNSF 763 bringing up the rear of a westbound manifest entering the yard and 4) a westbound stack train racing through at track speed.
Because of the stack train on the right moving so fast and the BNSF 763 crawling away from the camera at the same time, it was a "spray and pray" moment with the shutter to see if I could get lucky without a container shadow on the nose of the unit. Thankfully, one came out!
