750 mm gauge steamtrain of the Norsk Railway Museum Hamar in Smalåsen station bound for Kløften, several hundred meter from here. Smalåsen was taken into use as a station when the Nordlandsbanen opened between Grong and Mosjøen in July 1940. The station was located in Namsskogan municipality, 313 kilometres from Trondheim, just at the border with Nordland. The name was changed from Smalvatn to Smalåsen in 1941. The station was converted to a stopping place (without services) from 1 April 1959, and closed down from 31 May 1987. The building was, after standing unused and empty for many years, dismantled and moved to Hamar and the Norsk Jernbanemuseum in 2009. Wood fired locomotive # 2 "Urskog" was built by Richard Hartmann in Chemnitz in 1895 and ran on the Urskog-Hølandsbanen.
