Speeding across the rolling high plains of western Nebraska is BNSF train Z-CHIDEN3-11, clicking off the miles as it heads from Chicago to Denver. Seven miles ahead on the BNSF’s Akron Sub, BNSF ES44C4 6567, ES44DC 7579 and Dash 9-44CW 995 will bring their train across the state line into Colorado and another 170 miles or so into Denver.
