Cogwheel railcar Bhe 1/2 # 21 of the Pilatus Bahnen, first of the series # 21 to # 28 built in 1937 when the line was electrified, is running down the Eselwand (donkey wall) with about 9 km/h on the maximum grade o 48.0 % as aprt of train CC 14. This train consisted of 5 railcars running on sight distance (or about 1 minute), Bhe 1/2 # 25, the new Bhe 2/2 # 41, Bhe 1/2 # 21, # 26 and # 30. The mixed operation of old and new railcars is only in this season. Next year, there will be an accelerated timetable with the new railcars Bhe 2/2 # 41 to # 48, running slightly faster then the old of 1937/1967.
