I spent six months in the hospital from Halloween 2015 to May 2, 2016. For a few of those months, I knew Gulf & Ohio was sending the L&C their first six axle power. I had one hope - that I woud be out of the hospital and able to catch the train coming down the R Line. As you can see, I was lucky. NS 337 brought it down. I wasn't sure if they were going to leave the power in Rock Hill for P36 to take down, so I set up on the north end of the yard so that I could get the train. It was weird to see the tunnel motor and standard cab Dash 8 in L&C Springmaid blue. But not as weird as seeing the Springmaid logo on G&O black locomotives a short time later.
