Remarks & Notes |
On a chilly morning in late March 2019, Lancaster and Chester Railroad passes the Elgin Volunteer Fire Department in Lancaster, South Carolina. The train left their office in downtown Lancaster so early that the sun is still not up high enoigh for even lighting through the scene. This was mercifully the last spot we shot at where the (lack of) sun was an issue.
L&C #9630 is on point. She is an EMD GP40-2LW built for the Canadian National Railway in 1975. She has served the Gulf & Ohio Railways for years as Yadkin Valley Railroad #9630 before being reassigned to the L&C. |
