A delightful deluge....
Railfanning is an all-weather hobby. Whether it is a beautiful sunny day, or some of the wildest conditions you could ever imagine, it takes some pretty insane weather to shut down a railroad. Part of railfanning is capturing the wide range of conditions that railroads
operate in. This weekend, I had just gotten my Cannon T8i. While I was excited to unbox it and start using it, I was busy with other things. Finally, that Sunday evening, I had some time to see what it was made of. Looking outside, I thought it would be the perfect conditions to test how it preformed in less than optimal conditions. I decided to head to a crossing near my house just not really for aesthetics, just to test the camera. Luckily, NS 214 was in the area, so I didn't wait that long for something to show up. To my surprise, it started absolutely downpouring just as NS 214 approached.....
It's amazing how much can change in a year. NS 214 does not even run the B-Line anymore.
