There's a J-train under all that snow. After a derailment on CN's Kingston Sub caused all VIA trains from Montreal to Toronto to be cancelled for three days, VIA Rail was given the okay to run trains on December 27th, but clearly CN gave VIA only half the regular slots, as all trains ran as combined trains (J-trains in VIA parlance). Here the 0651 and the 0850 departures from Central Station for Toronto (VIA 61 & VIA 63) have been combined with two trainsets in one consist, though it's hard to see with so much snow being kicked up! Out of sight are a second locomotive mid-train and a third at the tail end. Regular service resumed today.
