| Maintenance-of-way is done for the day and has all their equipment into the short house track at Lombard siding—and now traffic is moving again in Montana’s Lombard Canyon on June 17, 2014. A westbound BNSF coal train is in the siding, meeting a BNSF coal empty. Montana Rail link’s Helena local slowly follows this eastbound empty that trails a lone DPU BNSF Dash 9 warbonnet No. 730 on the rear. Once the local is clear of the west switch at Lombard, the westbound coal train will depart and head for Helena. |
