As the sun sets on December 23rd, 2022, northbound CTrail train 4458, led by MBB CTC-3 #1518, hustles to its final station stop on Amtrak's MRS Line as several CTtransit buses traverse the CTfastrak Busway in West Hartford, Connecticut. CTfastrak is a regional bus rapid transit system operating between Hartford and New Britain, Connecticut via 9.4 miles of dedicated busway built on the previously abandoned New York & New England Railroad Newington Secondary Branch right-of-way.
