| Back in 2007, the UP was using most of their ex-CNW SD40's in local type traffic around Iowa. These units mostly stayed captivated since they had cab signals for the ex-CNW mainline thru Iowa and Illinois. Here a quartet of them power this Proviso to Council Bluffs freight west on the Boone Sub west of Ogden. The UP 3073 is the ex-CNW 6908. UP 3037 (ex C&NW 6872) was the first unit in this group to be repainted to UP on June 30, 1995.
