A southbound First Capital Connect passenger train (Class 319 EMU, dual mode, capable of overhead and 3rd rail electric) crosses the Blackfriars Railway Bridge across the Thames River. Solar panels were installed on this bridge, essentially enclosing the railway, with the work completed in January 2014. In the distance Charing Cross station is visible.
