Due to a severe CPKC derailment in Reeseville, WI, Amtrak's westbound Empire Builder was forced to detour over the BNSF Aurora Subdivision for the first time in many years, and the first time overall in the Siemens Charger era. Here, Train 7 rolls past the Rochelle Railroad Park with two of the Phase VII Chargers in the lead. Further on down the line it would meet its eastbound counterpart, also detouring, to do a quick crew swap before both trains continued their respective journeys.
