Remarks & Notes
On ausgust 10, a northbound freight train derailed in the Gotthard Base Tunnel (GBT) and since then, both bores are closed. All passenger trains and some freights, which are able to go through the lower claerance, are rerouted over the "old" mountain line, now called panorama line. At first glance, it looks as if SBB's locomotive Re 420 # 213 LION is pulling Scheuchzer's "Grizzly 102" rail grinding train over the middle step of the spiral staircase in the Biaschina. In reality, this is the tail end of the rather long freight train 60219 from RBL to Chiasso, which can be seen by the fact that a flat car is still visible in front of the locomotive. The towed locomotive, probably on its way for maintenance at the SBB industrial plant Bellinzona, was lined up in the middle of the train.
