During, before and after the Lauberhorn ski races in January, the Wengernalp Railway is always working at full capacity. As there is no road to Wengen, all equipment and visitors have to be transported on the 80 centimeter gauge cogwheel railroad. After the downhill race on saturday, for the transport of spectators back to Wengen-Lauterbrunnen, there circulated shuttle trains between Allmend and Wengen with 60 years old vehicles. Here running downhill above the double track section between Wengen and Allmend is cogwheel railcar BDhe 4/4 # 115 (built 1963) with cab car Bt # 275 (built in 1968), with ski transport car Ok # 616 of 1929.
