New GP40-2LW, CN 9632, was part of an EMD test train that included their data collection car, their F9 AB set and an SD45-2X test loco. The train was testing power using Stampede Pass, which has been a testing site for many years for motive power capabilities. It was photographed between runs at BN's Auburn, WA diesel facilities.
