| Passing the old Southern Pacific passenger station in Martinez is Amtrak train 546. This eastbound Capitol Corridor train has just departed the newer Amtrak station in town, with CDTX F59PHI 2006 shoving the cars from San Jose to Sacramento. My personal connection to this station is that it is where my father met my mother in person for the first time when she detrained here in January 1946 after traveling from Scotland to begin her new life in America as his wife.
