With around 3 feet of snowfall overnight, the southbound Amtrak Vermonter was the first train operating over the New England Central Palmer Subdivision on Sunday, March 24. Led by Phase II Heritage P42DC, 130, the stretch between White River Jct., VT and Charlestown, NH, promised to offer some snow moving. The 130 did not disappoint with a spectacular plume, interrupted only by a grade crossing, before diving right back into snow moving!
The reason railpictures.net has captured my imagination for so many years. Images of quality and distinction, in other words, amazing railroad photography.
