| On this day, the Rhaetian Railway snowplow crew from Poschaivo was only called out at midday because the light snowfall combined with a heavy storm from the south at the pass threatened the free movement of the trains. At 3.49 PM in the afternoon, the snow blower Xrot mt # 95403 pushed by the diesel locomotive Gmf 234 # 02 "Engadin" clears track 2 in Ospizio Bernina for the later crossing of trains 1660 and PE 955. The snow has turned slightly yellowish because a large amount of dust from the Sahara desert in Africa has been blown against the Alps.
