It's hard to get much more Illinois Central than this. After an equipment failure in route with one of the trailing Amtrak Chargers, IC SD70 #1027 was sent to the rescue on this 7+ hour late City of New Orleans. It's seen arriving Chicago and passing Ping Tom Park near the Chinatown neighborhood. I’ve seen some crazy leaders on Amtrak trains, but I would have to say that a Deathstar on home rails takes the cake!
