Remarks & Notes |
United States Sugar 4-6-2 148 leads a train over Lake Okeechobee in Moore Haven, Florida on the trains return trip to Clewiston. She was built in April 1920 by American Locomotive Company (ALCO) for Florida East Coast Railway. She hauled passengers and freight trains on the FEC's Overseas Railroad to Key West, Florida until the line was destroyed in 1935. The locomotive was then sold in 1952 to US Sugar Corporation (USSC) to haul sugarcane trains in and around Clewiston, Florida. |
