Remarks & Notes |
SEPTA Scoot.
A two-car train of SEPTA Silverliner IV cars is preparing to depart West Trenton Station in Ewing Township, NJ. The Georgian Revival style station was originally built by the Reading Railroad in 1929 and was served by Reading and Baltimore & Ohio Railroad trains operating between Philadelphia and Jersey City. Northward service lasted until 1982 when NJ Transit withdrew service between here and Bound Brook, though proposals have been made to resume service on this branch. Nowadays the station serves as the terminus for SEPTA West Trenton Line trains, with one of the original four tracks in service for passenger trains and one as a freight bypass. |
