This commuter train will head along the carrier's Bergen County Line to Suffern NY. Leading this afternoon's train is NJTR GP40P 4101, one of the system's Heritage locomotives – in this case, wearing the paint scheme of predecessor New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT). NJTR GP40P 4101 was built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division in October 1968 as Central Railroad of New Jersey 3672, later becoming Conrail 4101 in the 1976 merger that created that railroad.
