Remarks & Notes |
Metro-North's Engine 211 makes a guest star appearance on the New Haven Line on Train 1831. As the train passes by the former Mount Vernon East station (stairs and parking lot visible to the right), it prepares to enter CP 212/CP112 interlocking where the New Haven Line joins the Harlem Line. Train 1831 is one of a handful of Danbury Branch trains that operate direct service from the Danbury Branch to Grand Central. The majority of Danbury Branch customers must connect at either Stamford or South Norwalk for service to points east or west. |
