The second heavy four-coupler cogwheel steam locomotive HG 4/4 # 708 was completed in the Uzwil workshop in 2023. The test and acceptance runs are currently taking place on the Furka Bergstrecke steam railroad line. Here the locomotive is cold in the depot in Realp, the changeover slides for running on adhesion lines or in compound operation on the rack sections have been removed. The locomotive was built in 1930 by SLM in Winterthur for the Thap Cham - Da Lat line in French Indochina, now Vietnam. In 1990, it was brought to Switzerland more or less as scrap and then finally rebuilt in Uzwil after its sister # 704 from 1923.
