When the former RAe TEE II # 1053 multiple unit of 1961, which had been used as the “gray mouse” RABe EC with first and second class in Eurocity services since 1988/89, was converted into a historic vehicle in the BLS workshop in Bönigen in 2002/2003, it was decided to convert coach 5 into an additional “dining car”, which was designated a lounge car. There is now an electronic piano in the middle of the car.
