Too little, too late. I never trekked down to Davenport nearly as much as should have, chalk it up to being too comfortable lounging at Bartlett, or not liking the lack of foxholes to ditch the bulls if needed. Whatever, cry later. A shot is a shot is a shot, however late it is taken.
1964-era searchlights guard the location where the Davenport diamond once stood, governing CP movements over the Newmarket Sub until late 2023, when it was removed and replaced by a new flyover, which itself is now dwarfed by two new condos built on top of where the old GE Canada factories once stood.
I believe this cantilever was the last signal structure on the North Toronto to be felled on either the night of April the 18th, or the following day.
Probably won't be back here for a long time. Not much point anymore.
