The Northern Lights were visible in many parts of the United States on the night of Oct. 10th, 2024. Here in Arizona, the lights were barely visible with the naked eye, but would show up on camera. Here, BNSF's Los Angeles, CA to Chicago, IL Z-train meets a westbound S-LPCLBE7 at Valentine. The Z train was in the siding to let a faster and more higher priority Z-train (Z-SBDWSP) over take it.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
