The Savanna to Mason City local has alot of rock, anhydrous ammonia, and potash for the Cornlines. Surprisingly, this guy had more loads than empties in this the 4400 foot train. Heavy washouts on the west end of the railroad is why they all this rip rap is on the head end. The train is over 45 miles from Mason City. Kind of unusual to see a westbound train crawl along on a mainly eastbound loaded railroad, but this guy had plenty of tonnage for these 2 motors for these 1% grades in northern Iowa.
