WAMX 4192 has just brought the L465 into Mazomanie where the crew will switch Plastic Ingenuity. This particular engine was built as an SD40 for the C&O in 1970. At some point in the 1990s, it went to the Utah Railway, stenciled as UTAH 9006 where it hauled freight for a number of years. In the 2009 or so, it was acquired by the Wisconsin & Southern, and numbered WSOR 4079, and eventually renumbered to WAMX 4192 after the Watco purchase. In 2021, this engine left WSOR rails for the last time. It was shipped up to Canada for motive power on Watco’s Agawa Canyon Railroad.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
