Not Going There. A Queens-bound New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) G train curves out of Smith-9th Streets Station on the IND Culver Line, with the lower Manhattan skyline looming in the background. The G is the only subway service (as always, aside from the shuttles) that does not run into Manhattan, but rather takes the Crosstown Line directly from Brooklyn to Queens. Pullman-Standard R46 car 5776 brings up the rear of the 4-car train, which is half the length of a standard NYC Subway train on most other services.
