| VY Intercity train from the port town of Narvik, Norway on the Norwegian sea to the port town of Luleå, Sweden on the Baltic sea has just departed Kiruna with a three car train pulled by RC6 1393, that was apparently leased from SJ. As of early 2025 the trains are operated by SJ again after VY withdrew from the contract to operate the Norrland long distance trains. As a result the Swedish authorities chose SJ to operate the trains until the end of the current contract and a new tender for a new operator. |
