| An empty ballast train passes through Youngsville on the former SAL "S Line" main north of Raleigh. The only regular southbound move on this stretch is a nocturnal local, and 6 axle power is also a rarity. Eventually, this line will be converted to a high speed passenger main between Raleigh and Petersburg. |
