Crossing the Mojave Desert, exotic terrain for a locomotive from north of the 49th Parallel, is Canadian Pacific SD70ACU 7007 (the former CP SD9043MAC 9119) leading BNSF Railway train G-WMSKIN4-26A, a unit train of tank cars loaded with fertilizer heading form Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Kinpark, California. (Never heard of Kinpark CA? Don't feel bad, as I haven't either. And apparently even Google isn't even aware of it!) This train made an appearance just as the sun popped out from behind a large cloud, not long before it set in the west. (The sun, not the cloud.) So, thanks to all these elements coming together at the last second! And all for a train that isn't the usual intermodal train on the Needles Sub, too. What a shame about all the litter, though...
