All is quiet, just after 9pm in the small mountain town of Canton, North Carolina. Just a few months prior this region of Western North Carolina was badly hit with major hurricane Helene causing mass destruction all across the area. The BLU and all surrounding railroads had their lines flooded and washed away, and are now rebuilding their lines. In the meantime, the power for this railroad sits idle, awaiting the day we are all waiting for.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
