The Italian express train ETR # 252 “Arlecchino” of the Fondazione FS Italiane, built in 1960 by Breda in Milano for the Italian state railroad Ferrovia dello Stato, has a semicircular viewing platform at both ends with 8 freely rotating seats as well as a comfortable bench with 3 seats, which allow a wonderful view of the tracks and the landscape. A small pulpit is built above it for the locomotive crew. Here in Roma Ostiense, before the departure of the train via Civitavecchia-Pisa-Prato-Bologna to Milano Centrale, the rear viewing platform is still empty. It is clear that with today's crash regulations, this type of construction would no longer be possible.
