A westbound Union Pacific freight, led by UP SD40-2 3376, waits as it meets an eastbound Union Pacific freight with Chicago & North Western GP50 5091 on the headend, on UP’s busy Kearney Sub. And, yes, the crew gave me permission to climb on the rear stepwell to get this shot. Those were the days... (Gothenburg, Nebraska – August 20, 1987).
